Our Mission

Our mission is to foster conservation of biodiversity in Northeast India through research, environmental education, capacity building and advocacy for legal and policy reform to usher a new era of ecological security.

Our Divisions

We strive to protect nature and its resources ranging from animal and plant species, forests, various water bodies, mountains, as we believe that welfare of our communities is intricately linked to pristine nature. We work to secure a future for all species that are under any sort of threat.

Sustainable Development Goal

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) were set with a target to protect our planet, end poverty, fight injustice & inequality and climate action. Aaranyak through its actions such as ensuring food security, conservation of biodiversity, promoting sustainable livelihood, education, gender equality, climate change mitigation, and more is contributing significantly towards achieving the SDGs. Through our work we have targeted at least 12 SDGs directly. As the 17 SDGs are integrated, through our action we contribute towards all the SDGs.
