1. Paid Assignment Opportunity to develop original stories on Biodiversity and Environmental Issues in Northeast India

As part of an initiative undertaken by the Media Production & Communications Division of Aaranyak to promote environmental journalism in the region, the organization is offering paid assignments for young freelance journalist of Northeast India with keen interest in biodiversity and environmental issues. The main idea behind this initiative is to bring out original stories in text, photo essay or multimedia format from various parts of NE India. These stories will be published in a special online magazine under development and to be published towards the end of this year or elsewhere as found appropriate.

Total Number of Assignments and Duration:

Five assignments each with 2 months duration to complete the story. The starting date will be discussed following receiving completed applications.

Application Deadline:

For the first round of applications, we will be accepting online responses till 30^th September 2019.

Compensation:

Selected candidate will be paid a grant of Rs. 25,000/ per story to develop the story. Details will be discussed with the shortlisted candidates after screening their preliminary applications.
